In Uganda, Parkinson's disease is often misunderstood. Parkinson's Si Buko means Parkinson’s is not witchcraft.
Kabugo Hannington wanted to change the myth, change the attitude, change the way people with PD are viewed by their communities.
Parkinson's as Witchcraft? Sherryl Klingelhofer discovered his cause in 2018 and immediately began helping to fund and promote the campaign. Parkinson's Si Buko Uganda Project received its Certificate of Incorporation in Uganda in May 2019.

~community leaders, medical personnel and the common public ALL want to meet them, and learn what they have to share
Clever Hannington recognized that a free medical fair including some dental exams, malaria screenings, women's health and PARKINSON'S AWARENESS could enhance our presence.
VHW (Village Health Workers) were among the first people trained, and trained here, to diagnose PD.
This was before the community clinic was formed by Hannington for Si Buko.
